Job description:
- Day to day management of the operation of the monastery to ensure that the property is secure, properly maintaned and provisioned
- Planing and overseeing the experience of guests at the monastery, ensure that high level standards are met
- Ensure that monastery experiences are imaginative, innovative, rich in variety, memorable and personalized for the guests
- Stewardship of all aspects of the property (artwork, fixtures and fittings) so their condition and value is protected
- Understanding and overseeing maintenance (preventive and repairs) of all aspects of the property (structural aspects, gardens, furnishing, electrical, air conditioning and water systems)
- Taking excellent care of historical and religious significance of the property and maintaining relationships with locals, suppliers, authorities and such
- Constantly identifying ways to improve the property – in presentation, service, guest experience, environmental sustainability, maintenance and financial performance
- Versatility and willingness to take responsibility for tasks that fall outside of the job description
Requirements:
- Willingness to spend long periods of time on the property
- Fluency in Croatian and English language
- College degree – hotel and restaurant management (desired, not mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years experience in the management operations of the similar properties
- High level organization and communication skills
